Im looking to buy a '89 Jeep Wrangler Sahara YJ. What should i look out for dealing with needed replacement parts.
This is what has been done to it so far-- Its at 56 K Miles
- only one owner
-Never had an accident
-New rear brakes last year, also had drums turned. New Front brakes 3 years ago.
-new exhaust and muffler last year
-installed a Mopar Closed-loop tuned-port fuel injection system
-recently replaced alternator with higher output model
-2-in soft ride spring lift-- replaced springs, shocks, and steering stabilizer
-replaced all emissions, fuel, and ignition components.
-original straight-6 motor
-mopar fuel injected 4.2L 6- Cylinder engine
- Original transmission
Any Price suggestions would be good also.
Thanks-- Joey Langford
Well if you buy, I want to just say welcome to the Sandy club, no you can't take the name because my '89 Sahara is named Sandy. I got mine with a redone interior and 95k on the clock for $6500 and mines in good condition, the PO also wanted $7200, but cash in hand goes a long way. The Jeep your looking at, if it doesn't have major rust and looks like a Texas jeep (like mine, sorry I love to brag about mine) should be anywhere from the $7500-$9000 range. For a YJ, that is a lot! Most YJ's around the U.S. go for about $4000. One with 56k is rare as well.
