5 feet is good. If you want a Yj that looks good close up. Maybe a Yj is not for you.

Plastidip worked great for water proofing my rc crawler electronics. The crawler can drive under water now. On the Jeep I was thinking of using to seal the computer, cb, radio and stuff like that. Plan was to spray the pc boards.

Not sold on it for the outside of a Jeep.

I bought a spray can of it for reasons I don't know at this point. However, after reading this, I may have a new reason. haha

So this didn't screw up any of the electronics?

No not at all. I used pastidip spray for the receiver and esc. I used the dip for my servo.
I just removed the boards from plastic housing did the plastidip and reinstalled them. This stuff would not hurt to spay on a rotor cap also.

I just dipped my ZJ the cheap way with aerosol cans, took longer but it only ran me like $80. It you do it right then it has great results. And contrary to some of these comments, this stuff is actually quite durable. Also, as said, if you don't like it, it takes 10 minutes to peel it off and trying something else.

I can buy two gallons of quality single stage quality urethane paint that's implement tough for that price.

I just don't get it.

If its applied right it seems to only come off only if you want it to.

Had my rims dipped about 6 months ago and still look like they were just done. I liked it so much that I decided to dip my whole jeep.

Pics on my Facebook page.

I did the plastidip this Memorial Day weekend. I used an Earlex 3500 HVLP electric spray gun, and used about 1/2 Gallon of Black, 2 Gallons of Camo Green, and 1 1/4 Gallons of Glossifier. It took about 7 hours to paint a total of 11 layers of Plastidip (6 paint and 5 clear) in my driveway. I may have gone overboard, but I am very happy with the outcome. This paint I found was easy to work with, very forgiving for a driveway novice like myself, and it was fun to paint. I did put new Jeep logos over the paint, which was tricky to do. The labels didn't want to stick to the rubberized paint, so it took over an hour to get the labels installed. With the Monstaliner/Herculiner mixed bedliner I think it looks pretty good. I now have to focus on the underbody using Chassis Saver. Any questions let me know ... or PM me. Anyone in the DC area is welcome to contact me to see it in person.
