Plan on getting 33's in the future...question

I have 31's right now and I could use a 1" or 2" of clearence.

I've been told that I need atleast a 3.5"- 4" lift to fit 33's.

So...should I just save and get a 3.5" - 4" lift or would it be a problem if I were to get a 1" body lift and a 1" Shackle lift (.5" total shackle lift) now for a 1.5" lift...and get a 2.5" lift later when I buy the 33's.

Getting the 33's wont be for awhile...maybe not even till after the upcoming winter.

From the FAQ's,

What size of tires fit without rubbing?
Older YJ (sagged springs on stock rims with lots of miles) - 235/75r15
Newer YJ (non-sagged springs on stock rims with few miles) - 30x9.5r15
Newer YJ (non-sagged springs on non-stock rims with few miles) - 31x10.5r15
2.5" lift on stock rims - 32x10.5r15
4" lift on stock rims - 33x12.5r15

Go for the 4" kit.

Life is tough enough already, but it's even tougher when you're stupid

So you think if I go ahead and get a 1" Body Lift plus the 1" Shackles (which would be 1/2" lift) that later on when I get the 33's I'd be fine with getting a 3.5" lift then correct?

What about the ride....would that set up be good or would just a 4" lift and nothing else be better?

thanks.
