There is a guy with a tj up in the sierras that has one. It actually starts off as a prerunner looking bumper (think smittybilt like the one I have) and follows the flare line back to the frame near the rockers. It ties in there and pretty much acts as the rear fender flares and comes back around and seamlessly ties into the rear bumper. Sorry, no pics but remember to keep it off the body!

after talking to a buddy who is going to be building this for me ,my plans seem to build a exo just around the tub and body of the jeep, then build a roll cage so that i could still be able to use a hard top.

Just curious, why do the exo cage instead of tube fenders and corner armor?

because i want more protection besides just the corners and a little bit of the fender area. i do some crazy rock crawling and already have had some close calls.

to me corner armor and tub fenders just are for preventing brushing up against some getting damage.

its actually doing really good lol, this is the first bolt in 35 ive had, and havent had any issues at all, now ive broke drive shafts and ujoint bolts but never anything to do with the axle, and also i just noticed the other day by comparing the c clip 35 that the bolt in 35 is stronger and the axles are slightly bigger. now the dana 35 c clip style ive had tons of issues with in my cherokee, grand cherokees.

This is what I like to hear. It makes me feel so much better about my Jeep.

I also love the fact that you want to keep your Jeep looking nice. I have no problem wheeling my Jeep but would hate to tear it up, I know the body is not functonal and it will buff out, but I would hate to have a smashed up tub.

Anyway I can't help with exo cage ideas, it seems like it would be hard to make a half exo cage.

I've found that non clip 35 is only minorly stronger than a regular 35 I ran one for a few years and ended up breaking both shafts locked on 33's at the sametime. It made for an interesting trip home in FWD but atleast my axles didnt fall out like with c clips.

For exo cage you could run a rub bar standoff down the side of some corner armor tied into a cage bar that runs from B to C just over the wheelwell. The cowl is goin to be the issue I just smashed my driverside in a couple weeks ago. These guys make some cowl armor http://www.moab4x4outpost.com/servle...or-(YJ)/Detail

Or you could make a hoop over the cowl tied to sliders and some tube fenders. Another option would be run a tube from a grill hoop back to the A pillar through the cowl.

I do not like how the spreader and pillars are done on the sides of this one.
