im running the same steering on mine.. havent gotten around to high steer yet. i have no track bar and no steering stabilizer shock and i have no death wobble whatsoever. not saying high steer isnt better, but its not a must.

i would worry about getting wiring straight... shouldnt be hard on that motor lol. tune it up, get to checking all the fluids, and start saving for a 8.8.

looks good. nice find.

you guys are good =)
correct on the no speedo. im guessing you see the top of the transfercase port empty eh?

steel line across the driver side = rear brake line.. which for some reason i have no rear brakes at all... im taking this out to my shop and gonna put it up on jack stands and see whats going on. before i even get into the brakes however im doing the axle debate.

after further inspection . i belive the front diff is stripped out.
the drive shaft turns, but the tires dont. there is a cable pull posi lock that could be part of the problem.

dana 44s out of a grand wagoneer or find something else?
ford 8.8 for the rear possibly but not sure on the front.

im not sure about final tire size but i know im going to use the 33s for the time being.
35s may be an option but no reason to replace brand new 33s. ( after axle swaps of course. )

might look into a set of EMU or RE 1.5 for SOA leafs. not sure on that yet.
carb will be replaced with a holley truck avenger
dont think i need a snorkel on this. the air filter is already pretty high off the ground.
electric fan will be going in.

ive owned 2 v8 yjs and neither had speedos is how i knew lol. i tried to buy a cable today at advanced and they dont sell them.
i assume yours is 92-95 because of the roll bar... so we need a electronic speedo cable. ive debated getting a mechanical speedo out of an older jeep for the purpose of just throwing in a mechanical cable.

brake hard lines are noticble in the pics... i have re extended brake lines. just note when you go extended... watch the front lines because if they have too much slack they will rub on the tires. i put springs on mine, they hold them away from the tires but still allow for flex. i take them off before going on the trail. im not saying your brake lines are garunteed to rub, mine dont look like they do, but ive seen it happen.

im running 1.5" re springs, re greasable shackles, and bilstein shocks and i love it.

looks like no body lift. what you might be thinking is a body lift might be the stock body mounts, because judging by no gap at your grill i would say its stock.

you can test the front- put it in 4wd and pull on the posi cable. dont yank it, but put some tension on it while your rolling. try to turn. youll know if it works.

also another way to tell is in loose dirt or sand in 4wd with the posi disenguaged it will pull hard to one side under acceleration.

or just do it the easy way and jack it up.

From the looks of the shiny new rear drive shaft, and the severely beat muffler. I'm gonna guess the PO had a driveshaft let loose on him......lol

Not hijacking, just curious...do you have pics of this? Sounds like an idea I've been kicking around.

yeah, the thing you colored is the trac bar.
as far as steering you can go high steer or crossover steering.
when i went soa, i had just a drop pitman until my jb4x4 bracket came and i had horrible death wobble.
not saying you will have it, you may luck out, but when you are doing 40 down a hill and death wobble hits you for the first time, its a lil scary haha
