PCV Valve

I'm new to the group. Bought a 1990 Wrangler in August. My question is: I have a 4 cylinder 2.5L and was wondering if the PCV valve is supposed to be in the front or the back. Right now it's coming from the air filter. I couldn't find any pictures of the 1990 4 cylinder engine. Would like to know this before I get called up for my Army National Guard duty. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance!

looked it up in the book and found your pcv valve is in behind were you add oil,if there is a hole there than your pcv valve is gone but if there something sticking out than thats it.When you pull it out shack it.If it rattels than your ok just wipe it off real good and blow it out.if it does not rattle than replace it.You can replace it any way if you would like, cheap..Get a haynes manual,it your bible for the jeep, bet 9.00 to 15.00 you will spend.Good luck with your guard duty..and take care..
