Passanger Front Brake Smoking

Help my passanger front brake is smoking
it seems like it is locked up
if my ebrake was stuck wouldnt all the brakes lockup
what other possibilties?

It could be a frozen caliper. and your ebrake would lock up the rear brakes only.

Stuck caliper, replace it and the pads.

whats the importance of replacing the rotor

It got over heated by the stuck calaper. It is probably warped.

ok im thinking of doing the brakes on both sides
so ill buy 2 pads
1 cailper
1 rotor
that sound like the way to go?

Rotors arn't that much $30 It depends if you can aford it.

i looked and 2 rotors 2 pads 2 cailpers is 103 bucks i can do that so i might as well replace everything

I've always heard that you should replace both calipers at the same time. Maybe people were just trying to sell me something. They are pretty cheap if I recall correctly.

Its never a bad idea, but its not always feasible. Stands to reason that if one side is beat, the others not far behind. But you dont "have" to.

DO BOTH SIDES..........its cheap and easy, just do it now or in a couple weeks....
