Can you put it back in and put a tack weld above it so it won't slip up again, or maybe some JB weld?

Or you can lubricate the cable so the springs can keep tension on the assy so it dosen't pop out of place.

well what i was thinkin to do is put a little piece of metal there to block it from poppin out again and tacking it in place but if its as easy as lubing it up then ill do that. oh yea i forgot to mention something. i cant get the cable to hook back up. it doesnt wanna go that far.

Ducktape or Zip-Tie

If not id go with a small tack to keep it there

It may not be moving because you are pulling against the brakes etc. Push the brake pedal down to relieve some of the pressure and at the same time hook the cable up. Taking some of the pressure off of the cable by using the brakes hydraulics may be the ticket, it may help you get the cable hooked back up.

Is your parking brake lever released? It may be down a click or two making it tough. If all else fails go under the jeep to the adjuster rod and back it out til it is all loose then connect it and then go back under and tighten it back up.

Try backing out the adjuster on the cable under the jeep. This should give you some slack at the pedal.
