I replaced all fuel lines, hoses etc, all are good and there are no leaks anywhere.

I have tried different octane gas aswell as differnet pumps, stations etc.

No difference at all.

I run normal gas

hahaha, he shaved his beard, and it was his birthday yesterday hahaha

got him 2lbs of twizzlers for his bday, he may be held off for a bit.

To be honest, the money is getting to me...trying to save, and live, and have a little bit of fun, money is dwindling.

granted, i have saved more than any of my other friends, and they all think i have too much money (possible?). im almost 18 and have roughly 4k to my name. Not too shabby, but i would like to save some money on gas.

My dad has an 01 4runner that he would give me. It is awesome offroad, nicer ride, nicer vehicle....18-21 mpg...but its not a jeep =(

and hold onto that 4k cause once you get into college it all goes downhill from there, im a junior and have learned that vehicles/bills consume food money pretty quick

That it should come to this! Buying a Toyota. Think it not.

I figure that you are driving about 60 miles a week, and at $40 to fill a 20 gal tank, and your bill was $120, that's 1 mile to the gallon (without correcting for what ever is in your tank at the end of the week). I think that's a little messed up.

What a piece of work is a Jeep! It deserves better than to be sold for gas concerns.

Jeep, to pick up chicks.

Don't give it up. Whatever.

In High School I drove a '79 CJ7 with a 360, and full time 4WD. I got about 6MPG.

Then again, gas was .85 a gallon.

Help me out with what though? You mean like the certain aspects of DE that I can go around or whatever?

I did the math again and m mileage has surely dropped since the last time...

I am now averaging 9 or 10 mpg.

We adjusted my mixture screws so that the jeep would start more easily, and this is causing my mileage to get all out of wack as well.

Have you considered the possibility somebody might be stealing some of your gas? I mean if it's running right, and not leaking anywhere, it would seem to be a logical possibility...

yea im a freshman at college, still live at home but the bills defanitly get to you, i drive 40 miles a day (20 there 20 back) and im planning on transfering to NC state in the fall, i heard its something like 800 bucks just for a parking pass, for that they better give me the damn deans spot...or i'll have some buddies help me with an SOA and i'll just park it on top of his new aston. lol. But yea would your dad consider giving you the 4 runner and keep the heep for the weekends. that would be straight up GOOOLLLDDEEENNNN.

^800 bucks? Is that for all 4 years? At PSU I made my own parking pass for my freshman and sophomore years. Then I paid for one my junior year after the University Park police had a nice little sit down chat with me.

Anyway I'm getting 19 MPG on my rig. I mix acetone in my fuel. 87ml per 10 gal.

But you obviously have a problem elsewhere. Something is making your engine drink like a frat boy on spring break.
