paint protection

im going to repaint my jeep soon and wondering if there are any simple/cheep things you have done to keep your hard top from scraching the paint on the upper lip of the tub. if there is an simple cheep way to do this i will repaint that area otherwise i will repaint it with the top on and just ignore that area

4WDH and Quadratec both sell a sticky, tape like thing that you can put between the top and the tub. If you go that route I don't think I would mess with painting that part because it will just covered up anyway. I think they do sell it in clear tho so you might look into that and just see what you think.
