Tal;ked to "Q" for an hour last night.
His mechanic says the overhaul went well. Should be good for another 100,000 miles.

He is feeling better but is still in a lot of pain. He has started the slow process of converting from a liquid diet to a semi solid.....think yogurt and jello.........and is optimistic that things will proceed well.

I have pm'd with Q many times, and have mentioned him to several other members. He is a valuable asset to the Jeeping world. My thoughts and prayers will be going out to him during his recovery.

good to hear all went well. that is the worst part, having to hope your mechanic does a good job and he doesn;t forget to take a rag out or leaves a wrench in the cylinder.

"Q" sent me an email yesterday.

His follow up mechanic report went good. Seems he has set no hard codes and his grounds are good. However he is still running break in oil and is not ready to hit the rev limiter yet. Perhaps with a few more miles he can start flexing it out and turning up the volume a bit. Mechanic did say to watch what type of oil he was using or he might start backfiring and his gas gauge would be off.

On a personal note, he is getting bored with Jerry Springer and judge Judy. SpongeBob is getting annoying but he says Patrick is cool. He has already read the FSM from cover to cover twice.

If anyone has a wheeling tape or DVD he could watch he would really appreciate the loan. You will get it back. PM me if you do.
I am gathering up some stuff for him to watch and will ship it out ASAP.

If I had an extra laptop I would send it his way so he could have YouTube at his disposal.

Seriously, we should pitch in. He can handle this...it's plenty small enough that he can handle it while he recovers.
