i used some scrape metal lumber straps and some washers with a bolt for each side to make that type of catch on my jeep for soft doors, worked beautifully

I would have just gone with the newer style doors (either CJ or YJ) but all I see on my local Craigslist for a reasonable price was old style CJ doors.

I like the look of the lever handle though and the latch mechanism sure seems alot simpler, less likely to need worked on than the YJ doors. Plus everyone wants an arm and a leg for YJ doors.

true. thats why i ended up with the half soft doors i got. so cheap versus the ones made or our jeeps
