ok guys.. the shuddering is gettin bad..
ok.. shuddering/vibration is gettin bad. i'm going to take the skid plate off to check the tranny/transfercase mount for play.. then the fluid levels.. do i need to jack up the tranny before i pull the skid plate off? i htink i do, but i'm a moron..
hopefully it's a U-joint or the mount, i really dont want to rebuild the tranny for awhile.. bought mobil one 75w90 gear oil for a drain and refill..

Definately need to put a jack under the tranny/transfer case before removing the skid plate. I would hold off on that, though. Have you checked your rear pinion nut? I know that with a drive line change (from a lift) that the pinion nut tends to loosen over time. This is the nut that holds your rear driveshaft yoke in place at the differential. You have to remove the rear d-shaft to check it. If it's tight, try to move it to see if there's play (up/down, side-side). If so, you may have a bearing or gear problem.
