Oil pressure sending unit confusion

These parts are both listed as the sending unit, but look different. Which one is it, couldn't find proper info searching forum. You tube videos show each version being used.

I think I want the plug and play one.

It depends on the type you have now. Look at the plug for yours. I am willing to bet the first link you show is the correct one.

Nope, one's a sending unit, one's a switch. The sending unit to your gauge takes a single purple (color may be diff) wire. The switch, which controls your manifold heater (connected to the relay and won't allow the manifold heater to come on until there is oil pressure) takes two wires. Not sure of color. The first item you list is the switch. The second item is your oil sending unit.

Pep Boys has the larger one - the sending unit - for less than that.

Like under $18 IIRC.

For your 1995 4.0 you need the first one you have listed.
The OEM part number for your oil pressure sensor is 56026779
