oil pressure high

my oil pressure is high after changing my oil on my 91 4.0 and durring the search i found out it may be my oil pressure sending unit, where can i find this in the engine bay? does anyone have pictures? Thanks

You say this started after changing the oil, you didn't put too much oil in did you?

Check the sending unit
Most of the time when they go bad the pin the gauge
Its on the side of the motor by the distributor

The sending unit is on the passenger side of the engine. Next to the distributor. It should look like a 1" round cylinder with one wire going to it. WHen you remove it leave the 90* bend piece in the block.

i dont belive i put too much oil in. Im new to jeeps but done oil many times. the oil level is above the safe line. how much above the safe line is too much?

would anyone be able to tell me if i have to drain some oil, it would be messy but wouldnt be the first time and wont be the last.

Holds around 5 quarts, but too much won't change pressure

My 95 hold 6.5 quarts according to Autozone. Seems like a lot.

6.5 quarts is alot. I think they got something wrong there.

thanks for the info guys, my pressure is lessoning as the oil breaks in i think, now to work on the coolant its not getting up to temp. Im going to change the coolant it looks pretty old.
