Well found the carb, for FREE! Now I'm just waiting on my adapter kit an such.

Yea I checked the egr to see if it was suck but it wasnt. I've had that problem before an it took me forever to figure it out. But hopefully I'll have it running after tuesday.

it can take a while to figure out sometimes. i bought a car that was running of craigs list. it started running bad right away. theres was so much wrong with it i dont know how i did so well during the test drive. it had a short in the harness, 3 loose grounds, bad camshaft position sensor, burnt up cat, bad oil leaks, week crankshaft position sensor, BAD EGR, 2 other vac leaks, and after all that and more it would stall at times. it turned out to have an intermittent short in the injector in the throttle body. it took months to get right. it was worth it tho , the dam thing got 60 mpg on the first long distance drive. now its back in the 40's for some reason.

Well, I think I found the problem. It would seem the PO didn't tighten the 5/16th Allen head bolts in the adapter plates. So before I go any further I'll tighten it all up an try it.

Now I got it running. I have an issue of it sputtering an dying while in gear. This is with the Weber carb. I'm not sure which screws are what on this thing. There is 2 on ths base, 1 by a power valve. Not sure what all the screws are an do. If I got time tomorrow I'll post up pics.
I also did bypass ecu. An changed my timing. I might not have it advanced enough?

Do the timing marks go by 2 or just 1? I pretty sure I set it at 8.

You start at 8 and advance it. 8 is just a starting point. If you got it running try and advance it. Are you hooked up to ported vacuum for the vacuum advance?
