bump! bump! bump!

Raising your vent lines is a must must must! DO NOT go into deep water/mud without doing so beforehand....or learn the hard way like I did and spend a bunch of money on fluids....lol

Great thread YJake, great thead.....

that's because most of us realized we should of raised our vent lines BEFORE we sunk our jeeps in a mud hole....

I was finishing my lift installation this weekend and noticed a hose that was just hanging with a little metal tube on the end. Looks like my TC was pretty much breathing "Unrestricted"! Looks like I'll take the time to do it all up right! Nice write-up.

I'm not completely sure where the vent on the AW4 is, but the 8.25 does have a breather in almost the exact same location if my memory serves me right...

Well that's no good! I've been under other rigs where the whole breather screw and hose were missing completely, and they wondered why they had a fluid leak down there

I would get that fixed ASAP because you don't want ANY dirt getting into that NP231.

Guess I'll get out and take some pictures. I'll post them in with one of the first few posts.

I tend to overfill my diffs since I have a aftermarket covers with higher than normal fill holes. Then they puke diff oil for a bit. Do you think there is chance of puking diff oil into your T-case?

Why do they do that? I over fill mine slightly and have never had or heard of them "puking". But, I assume that the long vertical lengths of hose will keep the diffs from "puking" so much to where they push oil through 5ft+ of hose to the T-Case.

I wouldn't worry about it personally.

Distributor added to post 3.

Hey man great thread! Exactly what I was looking for! One question/thought when you mounted the end of the line near the battery, If your "that" deep in water could that air vent be at risk? My thought was could you have drilled a hole in the air box and vented everything back into the air box?

Just seeing what you guys think?

Thanks
