I just found another YJ on CL. It's a '90 with 129,000 miles. The seller says it has an Offenhauser intake, new 4 barrel Edelbrock carb, borla header and exhaust. Are those nice upgrades ? I will probably go take a look at it tonight, it's not far from me. Sorry about my questions, but I never thought about buying a YJ with a carb, but this one is in such good shape by the pictures that I will go take a look.

You can never ask too many questions. Or at least thats what my dad says ;p
I don't know much about carbs but I know that having a bigger one isn't always better. Someone who has used that type before should be able to give you more specific advise about that though and if it works.
Carbed jeeps aren't bad, you just gotta have the right one and have it tuned properly.
And from all the stuff I have read I'd say that new intakes, headers and all that don't increase performance much but they still are nice to have.
Someone with more experience probably can give you better advice than I did.
Hope all goes well.
Good luck.

I had a 500 cfm Eldelbrock carb on my 89 YJ for awhile and it was way to big. It always ran rich.
