I just got thinking during my mechanical design class today while I was bored. Could a turbo be used for OBA for the compressor? I havent done much research but I would think some turbos, especially diesels would be able to put out like 80 psi. So could you just bolt a turbo in, run oil lines and use that to fill a tank, etc. I cant seem to think of why it wouldnt work unless a turbo just wont put out enough pressure. But assuming its just a small turbo with a regulator setting it to like 80 psi, it seems like it is plausible. Let me know what you guys think.

Seems to me like turbos are move expensive than getting a stock sanden out of a bone yard. A stock A/C can get a lot higher psi.
Buy, hey I would love to see someone do anything new.

Yeah I was just thinking I could get a cheap used turbo but I think you are right about the A/C. I just cant find a bracket and was gettting frustrated. I was just looking for another option. But upon further research I would have to have alot of heat and exhaust gas to get enough pressure to make it work. Probably not realistic but I was just thinking.

I know nothing about the 2.5L engine. I know the 4.0 already have the A/C braket weither you have A/C or not. Keep looking around, I sure you come across a bracket.
If I had to make mine own bracket, I would make it fit a york rather than a sanden.

As a old Turbocharged car fan, I can tell you that unless you are dealing with a very very strong Semi Engine, it will be impossible to ask that amount of pressure out of a turbo ande your engine take it.
Lets put it this way. I had a built VW Golf before I bought my Vehicross. It was running at about 20PSI from its stock 9.5PSI setting. 20PSI an incredible amount of pressure. 80 is just rediculous!
Also, If you threw a turbo up there just like you said, your talking about air that would be SO HOT at even 20 PSI you could melt a tire if it was directly put into the tire without filtering through atleast a air/water intercooler.
