Oba ?
Will an OBA system Freeze up when it's cold out ?
My system (using a factory AC unit as pump) worked fine all day while wheeling saturday it was the first time i put it to the test. Well while wheeling it i would say froze up it would only pump up to 20 Lbs. of air on the guage. I have an oiler inline to feed the ac unit with lube. I let it cool off after towing the Yj home from the trail ( I flat Tow) and earlier today i started the Yj and the same thing i turned on the OBA and it would not pump up WTF. The temp was around 33 all day but i was 4 wheeling for 9 hrs. any info would be excellent

Temp should not have the effect, I would say your pump is bad.

I was think it could be that but wanted to know if there was a solution by moisture freezing up do to cold weather.
The supply air lines are 3/8 inch and run under body of YJ to the tank in the rear. I'll try disconnecting the Pump and seeing if it pumps air like it did before putting into service as an air supply unit. |

Mine run along the fram rail and I haven't had any problems wheeling in the snow but we have little to no humidity here in CO. Usually if you remove the output hose and turn the compressor by hand while you put your thumb over the ouput the compressor should become very hard to turn because of compression. I have 4 yorks and buy them at the junkyard when I find a good one.

Yorks are everywhere, Older amc's, scouts, old fords, volvos, porsche's, The bracketry for a 2.5 I am not sure about. The bracket for my 4.2 came off of a AMC Eagle wagon.
