O2 Sensor?

My CEL comes on randomly when I'm driving and I check the codes and only 12 and 33 show up and there normal. Then today code 52 showed up so I unhooked the battery for a few mins to reset it and now 52 wont show up. My engine sputters when I'm stopped at a light other then that it runs fine. I know other stuff will throw that code other then the o2 sensor anyone know what it could be?

The codes dont always get set if the sensors fail in the nomal operating range but they will definitely cause you a headache. The temp sensor is a common one to fail without throwing a fault. It will cause your fuel air to be off. Also check the manifol and see if its cracked. It will cause an O2 fault. The last thing I can think off would be a vacuum leak. Check for one using the brakefluid or starter fluid.

My jeep did the exact thing yours is doing. It would sputter coming to a stop after cruising. Well it turned out I had a clogged cat and it caused the O2 sensor code to come up.

ok sorry I'm pretty new to vehicles. How do I tell if the temp sensor is bad or if the cat is clogged? I checked the vac lines and there fine same with the manifold.

ok so I just dorve the jeep for a bit and no CEL on now until I hit a good bump then it comes on. If I shut it off and restart it and drive it the light wont come on until I hit a bump again. I've done like 4 times and the same thing keeps happening. Anyone know what it could be now.

Check the wiring harness around the sensor for a short and check the manifold in the rear for crack.

You may have a bad conection. You could also have a cat converter that is failing and has broken up some. every time you hit a bump a piece clogs your exhaust and that sets offf the DTC and lights up your CEL.
A clogged cat at night will even glow in the dark after a long run on the highway.

Do you know what was good about the good old days? I wasn't good, And I wasn't old!

Senators and Congressman should wear uniforms like NASCAR drivers so we could identify their corporate sponsors....
