Nutter and 4.3 TB upgrade on a 90YJ

90YJ 4.2 w/an automatic tranny. If you do a nutter bypass and add an MSD ignition box and a TB from a 4.3 chevy engine what controls the air/fuel mix of the TB? The MSD box? Or is it somhow done manually? OR does the brain from the 4.3 donor car need to be incorporated somehow into the system to control the air/fuel mix?

You're gonna have to have a computer if you're running injection. BTW, the MSD effectively "Nutters" the system, but it only controls ignition not injection.

Thanks for the information. I have a Bro-in-Law who is in Myrtle Beach SC (850 miles away from me) with a setup like I described. He is no mechanic, and it is not running right. Needless to say I am trying to help him, and understand how is system is modified. I am also trying to find someone in the MB area knowledgeable about his particular problems and to look at it and get him straightened out. If he could find someone he would be more than glad to pay him/her for their services just to make this YJ dependable again.

So the MSD box 'Nutters' the system but he still needs a controller for the air/fuel mix. Their must be another controller hybrided into this system to control air/fuel mix. Possibly the brain from the vehicle that donated the TB. OR he has a Howell fuel injection system added to this YJ. They come with everything you need to do the upgrade he has in his YJ. He does mention something about the TB being off of a 4.3. That is the same TB that Howell uses IIRC.
