Np231 speedometer far question

I have an 88 np231 with a manual speedo connection that I need to adapt to a 94 yj electric speedo. I wanted to know if I can use the long speedometer gears if I just get the housing and vss from a newer model. If so does anyone have the housing and vss?? Lo don't mind using the short ones but since they only used the short gears with a electric speedo for a few years they are hard to find
