Not getting spark - loose wire

So I'm not getting a spark right now. I think I've traced the problem to a stray wire but I don't know where this wire goes exactly. I have an idea but before I break something I figured I'd post a picture and take it from there.

I think it goes to the place I have the arrow pointing, but I havn't the slightest clue as to what that object is, or how I'd reattached the wire internally.

*Note* Go to the following link for a larger size picture: http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4132/...fac040e0_o.jpg

Thank you!!

Is there some way to take the top off the coil so I can reattached the wire?
