Noisy alternator fix

Have a 1990 wrangler with an extremely noisy alt, replaced the alt with a new one and its still noisy. help

are you sure it's not the water pump making the noise?

how can you tell i tried putting a screw driver on the alt and listening seem to be comeing from my new alt. should i disconent the alt and see what happens?
