newbie on jeep

hi everybody, like the title say, i'm new with jeep. i just buy a wangler 1991 one year ago for a project. but I have to paused for money and just stared to work in my jeep. I was asking in different places, I find the hardtop the jeep have is from '97 models. so my question is if i buy the hardware and windows {I have half doors} for '97 model can fit in '91 model doors
like said before I'm short of money for now, so to buy all the soft top with hardware gonna be around 1000 dls.
thanks in advance.

The 97 and up hardtops will not be a direct fit for your 91. If can be modified to fit, although I am not sure exactly what would need to be done.

A hardtop from a CJ-7(76-86) will fit a YJ (87-95). Since you have half doors, in order to fit a hardtop you will either need to get 1) full doors, 2) hard door uppers (type that have a sliding glass) , or 3) modify soft TJ uppers (there's a write somewhere for this).

x2. You need to fill out the profile so we can know what the full info is on your Jeep. You will have no problem trading for something that will fit your Jeep and not cost you and money. $1000. 00 is way too much. There are many places to find the parts way cheaper. I spent $250 on my hard top. $550 on the soft top.
