newbie, a few questions
I just purchased a 95 wrangler, 4cyl, manual trans., hard top only.
1) I have a gas leak just in front of the driver rear tire, is the fuel filter in this spot? 2) I dont have the mounting hardware for the rear seat. Any suggestions? 3) I plan on taking the hard top off and going with a bikini top this summer. Do you stay somewhat dry in a rain storm? Will any thing get damaged? 4) I dont like the rectangular head lights. Is there a kit to change them to round? I am looking forward to taking it in the sand dunes at silver lake michigan. Will I have the power to do this? I paid 5 grand for this jeep with 77k. I have had several 4x4s but this is my first jeep. Any help would be great. thanks. svo, on the eastern shore of lake michigan.

2) best bet would probably be the bone yard 3) depends on if you're moving or not. sitting in one spot you usually get drips at the top of the doors because they don't seal against the bikini. Look into a duster cover for the rear to keep things dry back there. 4) Get a complete grill from a CJ or TJ. Probably cheaper then a kit 5) Haven't done any sand yet with mine so can't help you there.

2 put up a post in wanted section many people pull rear seat ill have to check if i have my hardware still 3 nothing will get damaged but you will get wet 4 i did a cj nose swap for around $200 less paint all you need is a grill and hood with some ability to make things fit (see my jeep page in sig for pics page 2) 5 with the stock 4.11 gears in the 4 cylinder you should be fine.

Being you live in Michigan check out this site www.michiganjeepers.com probably find fellow jeepers in your area on there.

Yes 2) I dont have the mounting hardware for the rear seat. Any suggestions? With a welder, chop-saw, drill, grinder and a few measurements - you could make your own. If that's not possible, try Collin's Bro's. 3) I plan on taking the hard top off and going with a bikini top this summer. Do you stay somewhat dry in a rain storm? Will any thing get damaged? Depending on the interior options - you could have some electrical issues. I ran all last summer with bikini and deck-cover on - seats got wet - I had my carpet pulled (and drain plugs) and I didn't notice any major issues 4) I dont like the rectangular head lights. Is there a kit to change them to round? Yes. At this year's SEMA show, a company featured a new grill for YJ's that will allow the use of round headlights. The hood, fenders and all connections stay the same - just need CJ/TJ style lights to fill the round holes. I will check my latest magazines to see if I can locate the name of the company for you.
