New YJ owner...

I bought a 95 YJ off a guy who treated the jeep like is was supposed to look pretty. I didn't understand it honestly but at least the sound system is nice. Anyway it's sitting on 33" tires with no lift kit so the tires are almost touching the wheel well and there's no skid plates underneath it either. I need to lift it and put on a skid plate before I see how it's going to do on a trail but not sure where to look for them. I'm posting here to ask for help...

btw a friend told me about the birth and importance of the Jeep Wave. Glad I get to be a part of it now.

What is holding the trans/t-case up? What size lift do you want?

Congratulations!

It looks kind of like this, huh?

That's how my wife's '93 looked when we got it.

Then it went to this.

Now it looks like this.

I was wanting a 4 inch lift and something to put up underneath it all to protect the engine. I'm still pretty new to all this and a friend told me to get some skid plates because I didn't have any. Thought someone out there would be able to tell me about them and where to get them

That's not mine. It's my wife's. My '91 YJ sits much lower.

You don't want to go that high, it's an SOA conversion that's lifted 12 inches over stock with only 33" inch tires on it.

Take some time, do some research here on JF, ask some questions, look at some pictures and get some more ideas.

There is a lot to consider, and a lot of costs to calculate.

Happy Jeepin'!
