look for the belt routing on your jeep. You can figure out which way it spins from that.

The Tru-flow 43001 is for 1987-1990 4.2L with Single V-belt, standard rotation
the Tru-flow 42002 is for 1987-1990 4.2L with Ribbed Belt Drive, reverse rotation

I'm guessing I need the 43001 standard rotation, what do they mean between single v-belt and ribbed belt drive? why don't they call it a serpentine belt like every one else.
Yes, you need the 43001, ribbed belt drive is the serpentine belt.

Ain't she a Beaut!

To undo the air-lock I got the front end as high as I could by driving up and embankment by the house.
I got a bunch of over flow, but she finally hiccuped all the air out...

yeah I got home yesterday and the box said 42002, wrong one. Yeah the napa guy was confused or just didn't ask me the right question and obviously I didn't think to check the impeller direction. So its back to the wrenches. I do have a thing for my little '87 YJ. I know its a frankenstien now but she sure is fun.
