New toy

Picked up my new toy the other day.
It is a 95 4.0 with 80k original miles on her. And it is 95% rust free. Looking to do a lift later this year but was wondering if I can fit 31s on it as she sits? I have a set of 31s laying around.

Throw them on and see how it looks. If your stock springs aren't sagging too badly then you should be fine.

Edit:

Nice YJ by the way.

Thanks guys. I will put em on and see what happens. Any rubbing up front?
Yes this is very clean and very little rust. It was a bankers daily driver. Never seen a trail....

maybe if you only drive on the road, have the sway and trac bars all on, and dont hit speed bumps too fast. Definitely not if you take it off road unless your ok with smashing your flares into the body and possibly even bending the sheet metal from flexing.

Off roading a little you should be fine if sway/track bars are connected. If anything it will rub the plastic flare which is not that big of a deal. maybe they will get arches worn in them from the wheel rubbing. There is not much flex with sway and track bars connected. Just my opinion my friend didn't wheel it to much like that so idk how much he rubbed.

Ah. This is mainly a toy. Not a everyday driver. Bought it mainly just to wheel. I don't want to destroy the fenders with over size tires. I will get a lift before I put bigger tires on.
Thanks!!

Finally have my 4" lift complete. Went with 33" KM2s new rims and a winch and mounting plate.
Here are some pics. Now just gotta figure out what to upgrade next.

Nice clean yj with a 4.0. What brand lift you got on it?

I went with the RC lift. Hopefully I have good luck out of then. If not I will upgrade to something else.

Well I have added front bumper and rear bumper. Starting to come together.
Also threw a Ford 8.8 under the rear and a lunchbox locker up front.
Order rock sliders and tube fenders today. Can't wait for them to arrive!

I love the bumpers (the whole Jeep too) and was looking at similar myself. Do they seem stout enough to get a running start and pull someone out with a strap? All sand where I go. Nothing to hook winch to.

I have used the front and pulled someone out and it did well. The rear I have not yet tried. Seems like it would work fine. They are pretty heavy.
