Hello All:

I am new to this forum today. I have a 1995 Rio Grande. It is bone stock. This is my first jeep. I have always wanted one. I plan to lift it (not sure aobut how high). Wanted to know if 3'' is enough. I hate the big tall 18+ inch lifted trucks that are all around here in Phoenix. I just want to be able to off road and not be too tall. I also want to put in a full roll cage, but not sure if I add (I do weld) to the stock one or build from scratch. Thanks in advance for all the advice.

As far as the lift goes, it all depends on what you want to do if 3" would be enough or not. If you don't plan on going over 33's you'd probably be fine with the 3" and maybe some TJ flares.

welcome! well i would fab a new rollcage if you can afford it, and 3" is plenty for 33's but you may need to do some trimming for it, or some of the tj flares. either way its a jeep itll look cool!!!

Welcome: Just pick the brand of lift very carefully It does matter I installed a Tuff country 3.5'' lift and it was horrible very stiff ride I just changed it to a Rubicon Express with Rancho RS 9000 Shocks and it is so much better so be careful what you pick I think you would be good with a 4'' lift and 32'' or 33'' tires
