New project

Okay guys i just bought a 1995 yj 5 speed and has the little 2.5 in it this is my second jeep and my last one had the 2.5 and we rebuild the engine and still didnt have the power to run the 33's at 75mph on interstate so this one im wantin to do something differnt the engine has 150,000 miles on it and im wantin to lift and put tires and ya know all the good stuff that a jeep should have on it what would be the easiest engine swap without having to replace axels and move the tranny and all that stuff thinking more on getting a 95 4.0 with harness and ecm would that be a simple plug and play? Whats yalls opinions thanks

Easiest swap would be to sale what you have and buy a jeep with the 4.0..

You don't need to replace the harness. You can add 2 injector wires and extend out 2 other sensor wires. Get the drive shafts and remember the motor mounts will need to be moved too. You will need the trans and tcase. The inputs are different on the 2.5 and 4.0L tcase.
