You'll have fun with it and best of all, learn so much in the process. Congrats on a new project, keep us updated on future plans. You going off-road crazy or street build?

Looked through more pics, would definitely recommend picking up a welder if you already don't have one. Going to cost arm and leg paying someone else.

X2.
Is that the only spot that has cancer like that?
I think quadratec has a frame repair section that fits there.

Sent from my iPhone, probably because I am bored at work.

stocker

i plan on keeping it pretty much stock for now, i got this from my father in law who has failing vision and my parents are getting older as well so it will be nice to have 4wd to get around in the few heavy snows we get here in indiana.

i already have a welder, his name is rick (aka wolfman) who i have known since high school. he will bring his welding truck to my place for a reasonable price and i can do all the cutting and fitting and tack weld it. my welding skills are not good enough for a frame job.

the rest of the frame looks okay, but will check for any soft spots with pecking hammer. plan to clean and paint as much as i can underneath.

thanks, andy
