With 205K miles on my heep I never had issues with the inner seals, maybe your just lucky? I know there are some write ups for doing the TJ axle seals, probably close to the same idea, I know when I did my seals for the Alloy shafts it wasent that hard, took a couple hours. You will have to remove the carrier.
