New jeep owner, have an idle issue

Hey new to this but have a question if anyone can help, I have a stock 1990 wranlger laredo I just picked up for a good deal. It ran great and drove great it was a little cold starting but still ran good till I let it sit for a week.... When I came home I went to start it and it was hard to start finaly started ran bad for 30 sec and quit... Went through it and found that it wasnt getting fuel. Replaced fuel pump still wouldnt get fuel, and blew air through the line from the pump to the tank air blew though it fine, then opend the gas cap heard air come out and then it got fuel to carb and started up ran and idled better than it ever had. After couple min it wouldnt idle anymore?? Now it runs but wont idle. I messed with one of the screws on the bottom of the carb so not sure if it was an air idle screw or not messed with it when it was running and didnt seem to effect it. Im lost if anyone could help thank you...

Clean out the needle valves in the carb. Long running problem, but easy fix.

Google Carter Jeep Needle valves for a write up.
