New to forum and new to jeeps.

Wanting to say hi and I have problems..haha, who really doesnt. But I just purchased my first ever jeep. It is an 87 4.2l m5. Ive been reading and reading and cannot locate this issue anywhere else. The person I bought this from has done some work to it.

Ill start:

Rebuilt 4.2l 20 overbore
Weber 32/36
EGR Free
Nutter job (which he said he did and seems to be almost correct.)
Fuel Regulator

And a lot of little extras. Lift, Tires, so on.

Well, the problem I have right now is that it starts and idles fine. It accelerates fine until I gas it down. When I do, it hesitates and then it kicks.
There is some studdering and then kicks in as I should say. I do not know where to go from this point.

Any info is great and will try. Thank you.
