new extended front brake lines [pics]
I relocated my lines to the bottom side of the frame and I thought that would be enough. I guess this long arm kit travels farther than I expected. Last weekend at the badlands the passenger side line stretched too far and ripped. This is how I wheeled the rest of the day and then drove home:
![]() ![]() So, I ordered up a new set of Crown lines from Quadratec. I got the YJ 4-6" lift lines. The fronts ended up being 28" long. I didn't measure the rear. The whole kit was just about $100 shipped. These things are nice: ![]() ![]() Now I have plenty of room for my suspension to droop....just need to bleed them tomorrow. ![]()

Those look great. I was going to get those, but they said there was a wait on them...so I got the MORE ones. Nice upgrade bud.

Those new lines look really nice!
![]() Are you sure it was over stretched? I would suspect that it got pinched by the looks of things. I would have thought that if it had gotten over stretched that the braided ends or frame tie bracket would have been damaged first instead of midline. Either way, nice lines. Have you decided how you'll be keeping the lines away from the suspension items yet? I like using tie wraps & bungies. |

I haven't decided how I am going to capture these. I put them in place in a way that they can't really move except for up and down. They don't move around like rubber and stainless lines do.....I think it is because of the plastic coating. Do you just use those super small bungy cords? What did you tie them to? |

i have mine loosely zip tied to the shocks, seems to work fine.
i have the extended goodridge lines and the hard lines under the frame. i saw on joe's rig that he had the small bungees holding his where he wanted them, both ideas seem to work! martin

you zip tied yours to the shocks? I was kinda wondering about mine b/c they are fairly long until i flex, then they are perfect, but would i have to worry about pinching anything if i really loosely zip tie them to my shocks?
