new distributor installed, but jeep stumbles when I give it a little gas

I dropped in a new distributor today and my Jeep started back up just fine and it idles normally. But when I give it a little gas, the Jeep is stumbling. What did I do wrong during my distributor install?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

thanks
Tony

Did you reset the timing? Does the new distributor have an adjustable vacuum advance? Is so did you adjust it?

nevermind, it was my error. When I installed the new distributor, I didn't properly line up the rotor to the 5 o'clock position. It was at about the 5:30 position instead. I pulled out the distributor and reinstalled it to the correct position. All is well now.

thanks
