neutral safety switch?

I don't know if others are like this but my 95 rio grande doesn't have a nuetral safety switch. I was just wondering if all jeeps are like or if the p.o. removed it?

Mine didn't have one. You could, and I did, start it in gear while on a hill, kept, me from rolling backwards.

I do not think any of the YJs had one.
I think they started putting them in when the TJs started.

^^^This^^^

YJs were never equipped with starter interrupt switches on the clutch pedals for manual shift models.

The neutral safety switch is the wingnut behind the wheel.

Thanks for the help everyone. It just surprised me when I first got mine, jumped in and turn and it jumped forward almost hitting the car in the spot next to me. That is something I'm going to be checking in a more controlled environment from now on.

I have a 95, nada. I've gone through the electrical schematics and again nada. The airbags don't work either.
