Need Switch Panel/plate Ideas.

I have to install like 6-7 rocker or toggle switches in my YJ, I've searched and found no good ideas or pics. Anyone do this? Also suggest some good switches? or an inexpensive switch panel? I checked Ebay didn't see anything that interested me.

just buy a thin piece of aluminum and make your own.. now where to mount it i am not to sure.. if you were willing to take the radio out assuming you have on you could put that thin piece of aluminum there and drill your own holes and sticker label them.. and i have used many autozone switches that worked great.. i was there yesterday and they have one similar to the arb air locker switch..

I'm planning to install some in the the gauge cluster trim, right below the gauges.

If you want to get rid of the radio, or relocate it like I did, the radio hole makes a nice spot. Here's a picture of the plate my dad helped me make, once the plastic is put back on the dash it sits flush and looks pretty nice. I only put on 5 switches and a 12v outlet since I got rid of the ashtray, but if you don't add the outlet, and if you move the switches closer, I'm sure you could probably fit 8 switches there

How about something like this?

Easy to do and plenty of room behind for relays and wiring.

wow! very clean installation--looks great

as a conceptual idea, how about using some magnetic (hall effect)switch's running some relays to operate the load? it could be completely hidden or flush with the surface.

nothing i cant do--i'l pay myself $50/hr labor!!

the only thing you cannot do, is that which you have already accepted defeat!

Ok, I'll have to go out and take a better picture, that one was on my computer, and here's another that you can kind of see them, I'll try to remember to take the pictures tomorrow

did you use a fuse block that ran power to all the switches?

just curious where you mounted it if you did, that looks like a real clean job
