In need of some advice for a new yj owner

Hey guys I’m new to the forums so don’t bash me up to bad with my noob questions lol. I just bought a 88 yj jeep a few months ago and its in alright shape nothing i can complain about for a 24 year old jeep. The floor pans need to be replaced as i can stick my foot through the floor a Flintstone it if i wanted to. I'm not sure were the best place to get new ones would be if anyone knows a good place let me know please. Oh and one more thing the seat belt bracket that goes to the floor is rotted out to I’m not sure if its the rear floor pan or something else. Could someone enlighten me on this to?

Hi, welcome to JF You've just found one of the best jeep sites anywhere!

2 places I know have just about everything you could imagine:

www.quadratec.com
and
Morris 4x4 at www.jeep4x4center.com

Not sure about the belt tho. Hope that helps!

congrats on jeep and finding this site. everyone on here for the most part is very helpful, it depends on how handy you are? floor pans are not that hard to fabricate its really just sheet metal depending on how fancy you want to get, when i was kid my dad fabbed some for a mustang he was refurbing out of the side of an old dryer.. i made some for my father in laws 67 Mg about a year ago , its just flat metal that you can have rolled by metal roller at any metal shop which will put little ridges in it length ways to stiffen it or you can cut some out of a donor car it really doesn't even hafto be out of a jeep, just cut them out a little bigger than you need then trim to fit, you can weld or rivet them to the good metal you cut back to when you cut old ones out or just go over the existing ones as longs you've done something to stop the rusting process. from spreading. you can buy replacements too. but if your handy tis def a project you can do. remember its a floor!! its not like your replacing metal in the middle of the hood. as far the sestbelt same deal just needs to be reinforced obviously with heavier metal backing.

Welcome to the forum! They pretty well covered it. I am finally redoing my tub as well. It's the first time doing the body stuff so I only hope I can get it done and make it look somewhat respectable. Keep us updated.
