Borg-Warner T5: Made of glass. These suckers just don't hold up, either in Jeeps or Mustangs. Almost as bad as the Peugeot, IMHO. Stay far, far away if possible. Standard equipment on late-model CJ7 (1981-1986).

New Venture Gear NV4500: w00t! The ‹bertranny - if you have the fiscal wherewithal to actually purchase one, get a custom driveshaft and do the body pan mods to fit it under your truck. If you have enough dead presidents to make it happen, don't even hesitate.

New Venture Gear NV3550: Not as beefy as NV4500, but worlds better than the T5 or Peugeot. May or may not be better than Aisin AX/15, and I don't know if any bell housing/xfer case/body pan mods would be necessary. Standard equipment on 2000+ Wranglers.

Aisin AX/15: Mainstream price tag, and will hold up OK, but you'll need to change the Xfer case input shaft to a 28-spline shaft (I could be wrong - correct me if so). Standard Wrangler tranny from 1990-1999.
