need input on aussie lockers dana 30

So i basically have a day to make my decision....did some reading and aussie's appear to be the quietest lockers overall and have a recent reputation of being dependable. My jeep will be my DD in the winter but I am not spending 700-800 on a selectable....maybe down the road but not right now. So as a b-day present my wife said she'd buy me a locker if I wanted it.....so of course im gonna jump on it. Looking for input on the aussie locker for a stock dana 30 . Can they be found for cheaper than 229.00 on their site.....any vendors that can beat that price??

thanks

I think that is about around the going rate for them. I have been researching for my future build and was looking at these as well.

That's what I paid for mine. Make sure you have a good Dremel and cutters for it too, along with a few cans of brake cleaner.

Oh and hang on to the stock spiders in case you don't like the way it handles on snow.

If you still have your CAD, you essentially have manual hubs... Slap it in and forget about it

I drive mine daily to work....25 miles each way. No issues. I also take it on the dirt roads occasionally, with no problems there either.....

I have a DT EZ Locker in the front and a Aussie in the rear I wish I had gone with the Aussie in the front ! and if you have several miles on your jeep you should allso replace your thrust washers

Meaning stays locked unless you turn. In the front your drivers side would be "locked" to the drive shaft and the pass side would turn freely while in 2WD.
