need help quick please.

OK I picked up a rear end the other day for 100 and it has a locker in it I'm looking to swap over. My question is since that rear gear has the same gear ratio as mine can I just pull locker out with ring gear and put it straight into mine? Or do I need to swap my ring gear?would really like to get this thing going today. Both have 410 ratio but the other axle has some stuff cut off of it and mine is good.

what type of locker? if its a lunch box like aussie or spartan, yes you can swap it .if its a selectable locker then no.

Do everything with a positive attitude, it won't always work but you'll piss enough people off to make it worthwhile.

the voices aren't real but they sure have good ideas.

Thats a lunch box locker. Just swap it over. Do not swap the ring gear. Just the locker.

1995 YJ. 2 inch BDS Spring lift. 1 inch shackle lift. 1.25 inch JKS Body Lift 33x12.5x15's. Engo 10,000 pound winch.

Assuming both axles are the same model, ie both Dana 35s, then the locker should swap over, unless your 1988 axle has the factory limited slip (trac-lok) If it does, the lock-right will not work with the limited slip carrier. If your 1988 has limited slip now, then more parts would need to be swapped....
