Need help finding used ECM/ECU

Hi people. I am relatively new to jeeps and my ECU tanked out me several months ago. I was hoping that I could find somebody who knew where I could find a used ECU/ECM for my car. I have tried calling everybody with the ECU number and they say it is discontinued and cannot find it. The car is a Jeep Wrangler 1993 4.0 Litre 6cyl. 4x4. If you have any clue on where I could start please let me know. Thank you

Just saw one for my Jeep and it went for $21

People sell them all the time. I woudl start checking that out or start goign to junk yards and pulling some. They will probally charge you atleast $75 though. Hope this helps!

Oh and another thing. I am pretty sure you would need to get a 91-95 Jeep wrangler or even a cherokee with the 6cyc when pulling one from the lot. I am sure someone will correct me or you can even find some more info on other site. When in doubt google it

Yeah, you have to be careful when you start getting around 93 (i think it is) and newer. I have been looking for one for my 95 and it seems they started changing them about every year for the last few years of the YJ.

Have you tried calling the *gasp* dealer?? I used to work for a chry/jeep dealer and they had reman ECU's with a pretty good warranty for not that bad of a price considering where you were getting it. They were comparable to NAPA prices. Might be worth a shot.

Yeah - I was just in the same boat. Keep looking on Ebay for it, or try the salvage yards. The dealer will get around $400 for it. Good luck

I got a new ECU for my 93 YJ (2.5L) for $170....there is a core charge.
