Second. BD makes both a stock replacement type and a seriously overbuilt version. I got the overbuilt version and love 'em

97 TJ Sport - 4.0/HP D30 w ARB/8.8 w LS/4.88s; 35s and flat fenders on 2.5 lift

84 CJ7; frame off restoration in progress.

The technical advice you get from me here is worth exactly what you paid me for it. Warranty issues will be reimbursed at double what you paid me for the advice.

you could very easily make some out of a 1 foot piece of 2x2 heavy wall box tubing, cut a 45* angle on the motor side and cut the bottom out so they are 'U' shaped, I you need, I'll go measure the length from tip to frame for ya.

Sold) 94 YJ, 4.0L 5 sp manual, Hard top, 33/12.50s, 4.10 ring&pinions, Polished D30 w/Aussie front, 8.8 rear w/ LS, 2.5" RC, 2" BL, 5/8" booms, TJ flares, SYE, custom F/R bumpers and rock sliders, 8k winch, dual optimas, HO alt.

2) (Sold) 99 TJ, mustang 5.0 GT 40, AX15/231J, trektop, 37x12.50r17 cooper STT, superlift 6" long arm, D30/44 w/ ARBs & yukons, customized warn bumpers, custom sliders, 12K winch w/ synthetic rope, custom paint

Last I knew, these are still BOTH available from the dealer. I suspect the dealer was confused when you inquired about them. The brackets that bolt to the motor, only the right side is still available like they told you. I believe they may have confused the block mount brackets with the frame weld on mounts/perches.

Might be able to find someone or a shop that is planning/has started a SBC conversion and get the ones they cut off.

The dealer no longer carries them, believe me after numerous calls of frustration. I called brown dog jeep and they directed me to AMC 4x4 in phoenix. They located them and removed from a crapy frame. They were only 70 bucks, had to clean them up at the welders shop but basically saved my jeep.
