Goin to go look at a transmission for my yj 2.5 this weekend!
Is there any way to tell if it a good transmission when it's sit-n on the floor??
Any tip's or hints would be great! Just hate to do all that work tradeing them out and it's worse than my old one!...........Thanks Cole

Most of the problems that are associated with the ax5 will only show up once you try to drive it (worn synchronizers, popping out of gear, etc).

You can spin the input shaft by hand and make sure the output shaft turns in every gear (1-5 + reverse) but that won't mean the transmission is good.

You will be relying 100% on what the seller tells you. That's it. Except of course the things Aaronj mentioned. Good luck.
