Need Help

Hello Everyone-
I live in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and have just purchased a 1992 YJ as a project. The previous owner has done a great job thus far but still a lot of thing need to be "completed". This Jeep has a 350sb now and some things need to be done such as new shocks/ struts, master cylinder and booster installed, dash, and hurst shifter needs to be installed. This last one worries me the most. Who could install it and how in the hell do I drive it? My apoligies in advance for my lack of knowledge but like I said this is a project. Quite a bit more needs to be done and I wouild like to go to one person for what I can't do myself. I want grease on the hands but when it comes to safety and the transmission thats left to the pros. Any help or advice would help.
Thanks
Ryan

A little more about what tranny you have might help. Which Hurst shifter? How much lift is on it? It is all about the details and since you did not provide them many will not be able to help you. We would be guessing at best of what or how to help you.

For those who have not figured this out I'm old school but can handle the new too.

Heres the info

1992 Wrangler YJ
5.7 Vortec SBC, 700r4 tranny, ford taurus cooloing fan, Edelbrock Carb and breather, accel distributor and wires, transdapt engine mount, NP233C transfer case, BM Quicksilver shifter, 33" muds on Body lft, shackles and leaf = 61/2" of lift.
I hope this paints a better picture. A lot has been done but still a lot to do. I need to find someone ASAP to help get this baby road ready.

I'm confused as heck what you are wanting. You say one thing in post and something else in the other. So like where in this project is it engine in with a tranny and TC hooked up? Drive shafts there? Can it move on it's own? I take it the dash is not installed. Or are you looking for someone to help you finish this? What are your mechanical skills? Can you read a wiring diagram?

Break this project into smaller pieces with goal of let say getting the engine to run. Then figuring what shocks I want and size. Then what do I want installed in the dash, like gauges( oil, temp, volts, speedo ( stock or digital), tach, trans temp, a radio and what switches. Custom built or stock?

This is not to insult you but from what I read you are very young with the lack of skills to do alot of your own work. I would suggest the you use google and take each subject and start reading . Gain the knowledge in your head then start approaching each item one at a time. Then come back and then ask question about that one thing you did not understand or figured out.

But this is my two cents worth. Other might chime in.

I'm not knowledgable enough to help you with the tech stuff, but when you swap a new dash in, you should look into the CJ or steel style ones, they look awesome and i think theres a guy/vendor on here who sells them
