This like watching paint dry. haha. just kiddin around man. It's lookin good. Too bad I'm not any closer to Iowa. Have you done any more bodywork on it? Which tub are you actually gonna use? The black one right?
Just ordered up my wheels tonight from Summit Racing. Cragar V5's and tomorrow I'm gonna place an order for the Goodyear Wrangler MT/R's with Kevlar at Sam's. They have a good warranty there and should mount and balance for free.

Sweet. Can't wait to see the suspension hanging off of there. The frame turned out great. I'm so glad I got a Georgia jeep. It came from Colorado originally I think but whoever owned it there took pretty good care of it. Rust isn't too bad. Did you have trouble getting the frame mount bolts out of the leaf spring bushings? I had to cut mine out with a grinder.

Cragars were $40 a piece and my dad is gonna basically pay for the tires for me for some reason. I bought the lift on my own and some other stuff and for some reason that made him want to spend some of his money on the jeep. I'm not complaining. I will let you know how the tires do as soon as I get them on.
www.4wd.com has BFG KM MT's 33x10.5x15 for pretty cheap. I'll pull it up in a sec. The only reason I didn't get them is because of the warranty at Sams. Which was my dad's idea.

edit: 33x10.5x15 BFG KM's on 4wd are $713 for 5 of them or $571 for 4 of them. I think that sale ends tomorrow but they are still pretty fairly priced even when they aren't on sale.

Yeah im going with 31s Firestone Destination M/Ts (hell of a mud tire). And i see Cragars in the future

Here is what the Red jeep looks like as of now.

And here is what the frame looks like, i still need to paint the axles but my dad wanted to get stuff mocked up. Those springs are the RC 2.5 lift and 5/8s booms

ARE MY BOOMS ON RIGHT. Im pretty sure they are.

Power washed the red jeep engine bay. It is a lot cleaner. I also cleaned the black jeeps fire wall and that looks really nice, but i dont have pics of it right now

Ill get some more pics up later. Thanks

i might have missed something but i think the shackles should point down. the angle on those seems pretty gnarly. i might be wrong though.

Why didn't you go with the 4" for the same price. I mean it's really not the same price when you buy tires and stuff but you know what I mean.

I thought it was a little steep too but, then i figure the motor and body weigh a lot. So i think that will help the shackles

I bought the lift from somebody here on JF and it was brand new for $250, so i couldnt have got the 4 inch. I dont like to be very high off the ground anyways

Here are my rear shackles ARE they right. haha i have no idea

Here is the rest of the frame mocked up
Even though its a RC 2.5 its really BIG

And now Rusty Red is getting stripped.

I dont know what ill do tomorrow, but ill do something. thanks

What all are you keeping off the rusty red? Do you have two sets of headlight bezels? I want to try some flat black ones but don't want to mess up the ones I painted body color. What about the heater cowl grill thing? Or the side marker lights in the front flares?
Basically if you have two of anything that is in good condition or could be restored that you want to get rid of let me know. Some of that stuff might be good to keep as extras for yourself though. That frame is really starting to shape up.

Get a job and save some cash. $40 a piece isn't bad and if you wait around long enough you will probably find an even better deal on them.

definitely no hurry about the junk. just something to think about. I'm trying to build up some extras for stuff I might want to mod or break. haha

Yeah i got a job. Its just id rather have other things than cragars.

the only thing i got is the turn signal lights.

Finding alot more rust, this steering box was going to come off the frame any day. The area where the track bar is is all cracked

Got the exhaust out

Got the gas tank out, in the pic above you can see the gas tank

Look at how the previous owner adressed the rust problem in the rear. What an idiot.

Here is the skid plate and its junk way too much rust but the black jeep came with a good skid plate so ill be useing that.

Tranny is on a jack stand

Sorry if im not typing or explaining things, but im just taking a little break and going back to work.
This week i should get the motor, trans, and transfer case pulled. I just ordered a clutch kit. Thanks
This is hows its looking right now
