thats a good qeustion i started at a 3inch but probably not 3in at the front of the fender.i dont really want that big of a flare but i want to stay leagal

ok i went back out to measure it and it measured 4.5 inches how did it get that far off definatly chopping it down to 3in. MAX

Ok update
well i decided to go with original tubes instead of my design personal i just think its cleaner, i still need to get the tubes bent


A little more work on the bumper its turning out really nice, No extra metal was needed i just cut the old stuff and recylcled it. need to notch it out a little to clear the front cross member


Well here is the most BEASTLY shot i have so far it looks a lot better with all the rims flat black

Grinded the old spring hangers in the front to put the new ones on. Sitll need to do some grinding


Pretty beffy spring hangers from ruffstuff but there a universal so its a little wider than the fram and the hole is about a half inch up so ill lose about half inch up front, but oh well

Then i found this the ****ing dumb frame is ****ing bent god dam, right where the frame starts its curve up its bent up a little. Where the 3 holes are you can kinda see a bulge out in that spot. So im going to find a shop that can bend it back.

Got the power air throttle body spacer its the only thing shiny in my engine bay. Its the poweraid spacer for a 4.0L and it bolts right up so i dont even know why they make one for the 4 cylinder

Any updates? It's startin to look good. I just ordered my RC 4". I'm looking for a set of 33's if you have any laying around, haha. or som 17" rims so I can steal my dads 33's. haha.
oh, I think I have a small oil leak. Gotta go address that.

Sorry i didnt get back to you, I never look at my build. Yeah tell me how you like the RC kit. I cant help you with tires or rims, it took me forever to find free swampers and probably will never find them again.


UPDATE: I wanted to get some speakers and stero and with my luck they were both on sale

I need some new body mount bolts (not the mounts) so does anybody make replacments or should I just get some bolts from my hardware store. I thought about getting a BL but I dont want too much lift, i guess i could get a new dastar kit with stock height. What do you Jeepers think

EDIT: I will get some pics up of the tub tomorrow, cus im getting ready to take the frame to a buddys shop

Well today i put a battery in my jeep and took some flexy shots with sway bars removed. Im pretty impressed with the flex on stock suspension and 31x12.50s

Even though the fenders a little beat up it bent the fender up even more

Getting some body work done and preping for paint.

After i got off work i got some things acomplished
I bought these http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f12/nates93yj-build-692874/index2.html i know they are for the tj but they fit and they were cheap.
Got the floor board put in, my brother put it in and he worked at a body shop but i wasnt very impressed. What matters is that it is in.


I sand blasted the frame and it is a mess. im still trying to get the sand off my body but its not working.

I forgot to add i had the frame away for a couple of days before i started blasting. To get the frame straightend it only cost me $75

just wanted to take a sec and say this is true detication!!!...if you pull this off , i will have to say it will be one of the best "back from the dead "yj's around ...keep it up.....oh and hey at least u can sit on the sand and have a coooold one!

Yeah Im kinda pissed at what i got myself into, but my family has been the biggest help. Yes it will be a transfermation. Yeah that sand is a mess

UPDATE:

Took the top of to get the roll bar out. Sorry no pics with no roll bar. Got the back seat out, seat belts(not to hard though, pic to follow) Shatttered 2 more torx bits, its funny i only break the T45 bit i actually need


This is why it wasnt too hard to get the seat belts out. haha . I just ripped them out, nothing much holding them in.


Well since Im blasting the frame my dad wants me and him to beef up the frame and did I say BEEF. I really think its over kill but why not
